our story

Crossway Church is a new church plant for the people and communities of East Leeds.

It was planted out of Redeemer Church Leeds, which began as a church plant 15 years ago. Redeemer has always been committed to church planting, wanting to see new churches started across Leeds and beyond.

Over a number of years people have moved and settled in Crossgates and the surrounding areas. Others already living in the local community, have come to join the growing church family.

We believe that we were made to know and worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are who we are because God first loved us and revealed himself. At Crossway Church we want to respond to the good news of Jesus by becoming a community that loves and worships God together.

LOVE THE CHURCH

The Church is God’s people united together because of our shared faith in Jesus. We want to be a community that loves, cares and serves one another, a family that you are glad to belong to.

MAKE DISCIPLES

We want to be a church that is good news for Crossgates and the surrounding communities of East Leeds. We want to see others come to find the life we have experienced in Jesus for themselves.

Pastor

Alex Passmore

Alex is the pastor of Crossway Church. He grew up in South Wales before moving to Leeds in 2010 as a student. He served as one of the pastors of Redeemer Church Leeds for a number of years before Crossway Church began.

Safeguarding Representative

Safeguarding at Crossway Church is everyone’s responsibility, however to ensure it takes place we have Ruth as our safeguarding representative. Ruth has a wealth of knowledge, skill and experience of safeguarding with which to help us.
